AMFA to launch new Human Resources webinar series

Discussion is underway amongst AMFA and its two sister associations (CMMA and TSMA) to identify the format, content, timing, and frequency of a new Human Resources webinar series scheduled to launch in March 2021.  
 
More than ever, the HR profession is a challenging profession … the pandemic has exacerbated struggles to keep up employee morale, reconfigure workflows, keep employees engaged, acquire new talent, and more. The new HR environment is especially challenging for small companies that lack a dedicated HR department; when the “HR hat” is but one of many hats worn by the owner/manager. The Human Resources Series is envisioned as an extra “tool” available to our members, to help alleviate some of the frustration.  
 
The HR Series will be facilitated by MMA Assistant Director Amy Johnson, who happens to have an extensive HR background and expertise. Amy is currently leading an effort to talk with members big and small, to better understand the type of program that will bring value to those wearing the HR hat. Should we host a monthly webinar, featuring a new HR topic each month? Should we host a virtual peer discussion group, a venue for members to share common challenges and solutions?
