Vivek has 30 years experience with hands-on manufacturing. With his background spanning shop floor to C-suite, and functional roles in engineering, production, planning and scheduling, and procurement, Vivek’s team in Hopkins, MN has designed FactoryTwin platform to help manufacturers unlock the potential of their data and thrive in the age of digital and AI. Recognized by the National Science Foundation, FactoryTwin platform is delivering double-digit improvements in factories across the US.
The presentation will discuss the current state of factory data analytics using real life experiences and case studies. We will outline the challenges for SMMs (small and medium manufacturers) in exploiting data driven production and discuss how to overcome them. What is the bottom line? How do shop data analytics improve the basic shop KPIs (throughput, profitability, cash flow, and on-time-delivery), and by how much? The presentation will be augmented with FactoryTwin's customer case studies.
About the Tour: 
The Elemet Group story started in 1947 as Glenn Metalcraft, Inc. in Princeton, MN. Glenn Metalcraft is a third-generation family-owned company that has evolved and grown into Elemet Group. They specialize in heavy metal spinning, metal cutting, welding, machining, fabrication, and finishings. Over the past 75 years, they have continued to grow through adding facilities, equipment, workforce, and acquisitions.
Tour Requirements:
- Closed toe shoes
- Safety glasses (provided by Elemet Group if needed)
- Park in the North and Northeast lot
- Enter through the main entrance at the North end of the building
