MEMBERSHIP: Although membership declined earlier in the year due to COVID-19, we have been steadily recovering; we think people need hobbies. In support, we ran our best membership price yet:  Free orientation + 1st month free = up to $180 value!

WORKSHOPS: Members also started offering workshops again; please watch the IRM calendar for more: https://www.ironrangemakerspace.com/calendar.html. Classes will continue to be small. We normally offer a full day blacksmithing class one Saturday per month. We added pickling, stained glass and ring making. With new members arriving, we developed a few free classes just for IRM members; right now, that includes Intro to Using IRM Forges, Intro to Using IRM Woodshop, Help with Blacksmithing, Help with Woodworking, Balancing Act, Knitting.

MAINTENANCE: Members help our makerspace survive and thrive, whatever changes in the world. Several participated in marketing, planning, and continue to find ideas on how to push the space forward. Recently, we rearranged the wood shop to better accommodate the CNC router which has been upgraded. We have also added a small water jet. And lastly, the asphalt in front of the building was fixed and will have a patio area soon. The fryer in the kitchen is all set up now as well!

UNIQUE: With Makers, every holiday prompts a few new items. We currently have a pumpkin silhouette made on the water jet and 2 pumpkins carved on the laser engraver! We expect to host a “Holiday Maker Market” or craft & art sale on Nov. 7, Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., right here at the 12,000 square foot Iron Range Makerspace and will be offering free tours as well.

HOURS: 11:00 am to 11:00 pm, Wednesday thru Saturday or noon to 9:00 pm Sunday
