Range Steel Fabricators (RSF), located in Hibbing, MN is a manufacturer of machined components and fabricated assemblies servicing both large OEM manufacturers and industrial facilities.
We are a 100-year-old company with Jeff and Gina Halter taking ownership in July of 2016 and plan to remain family owned and operated. Over the course of five years RSF has modernized equipment, process, and culture resulting in the ability to continually expand our contract manufacturing offerings in the metals industry.

Under Jeff and Gina’s ownership RSF has invested ~$3mm in new space, equipment and capabilities including bridge and jib cranes, 8’ x 24’ HD CNC plasma cutting table with full beveling capabilities, conversion to full pulse welding stations, and replacement of CNC milling equipment. RSF has been proud to offer an ever-improving workplace and have been able to grow our workforce from a half dozen employees in 2016 to now having 25+ and continuing to add to our human resources as a top priority.

RSF offers a wide range of services in our machine shop with two CNC lathes and three CNC mills allowing us to provide machined components from prototype through high-run production of mild steel, aluminum, stainless steel, brass, plastics, and nylon.

RSF’s fabrication offerings range from contract fabrication and welding of small sub-assemblies to 50-ton industrial fabrications and commercial construction metals packages.

RSF is also in the process of launching a full line of skid steer attachments under the new brand name Ranger Equipment (RangerEquip.net).  We are excited to offer a new product line that will continue to grow our workforce and keep our new equipment busy!
