Letter from AMFA President December 2020

Letter from AMFA President December 2020

Happy holidays everyone! Even though many of our long-standing traditions will look different this year I do wish you and yours an enjoyable season and a healthy, happy 2021!!

As COVID continues to cause us to adjust our work lives, AMFA is adapting as well. We held our first virtual meeting on November 11 and it went very well! We had a virtual tour of Fraser Shipyards, NECO industrial, along with a legislative update and had time to network and catch up with each other. I highly encourage you to attend our next virtual meeting on January 13. It is a great opportunity to associate with like-minded professionals, learn something new, and stay connected with each other. AMFA is working hard to meet your needs and it will be worth your time, especially since you don’t have to drive.

Check out all the upcoming events, as well as the recordings of virtual events available here.

Please join me in welcoming the new members of the AMFA board of directors; Donald Simons (Duluth Public Schools) and Dustin Thibodeau (Northland Machine, Inc.).  Thank you for your willingness to serve the manufacturing community. Also welcome to our new members; Giant Voices, Headwaters Strategic Succession Consulting, and Innovational Water Solutions.

Check out the AMFA member feature article on Cabs Rops Attachments (CRA), learn more about the new AMFA website coming January 1, 2021, and please consider a 2021 sponsorship package, starting as low as $106/month.

Together, we will continue to tackle the COVID challenge (and whatever the future may bring), and ensure not only that manufacturers in the AMFA region will get through this, but will thrive. We look forward to your continued partnership. If there are additional ways we can help your business during this time, please let me know. Thank you to each and every one of you for your continued support, of this great organization, during these tough times.

AMFA, as always, we're in it together.

- Wade Karnes
AMFA President
