The 2025 Northeast Minnesota Tour of Manufacturing is more than just an event—it’s a strategic initiative to inspire and engage the next generation of manufacturing professionals. Over three days, manufacturers across the region will open their doors to students, providing a firsthand look at modern manufacturing and the exciting career paths it offers.
The tours will be coordinated by AMFA and multiple partners including the True North Stars Consortium, Lake Superior Perkins Consortium, APEX, the City of Duluth Workforce Development, Lake Superior College, Minnesota North College, Itasca Economic Development Corporation, MN Department of Employment & Economic Development, and the Minnesota State Advanced Manufacturing Center of Excellence.
Why this event matters
The future of manufacturing depends on a skilled and knowledgeable workforce, yet many students remain unaware of the opportunities within the industry. By participating in this event, manufacturers can play a direct role in shaping the next generation of skilled workers while strengthening their ties to the community.
