Greetings to AMFA members, associates, and friends!

It’s always great to get back to summertime in Minnesota!
 
You can’t think about summer in Minnesota without thinking about golf. The 26th annual AMFA Golf Social will be held on June 3 at Cloquet Country Club. The event is an 18 hole 4-person scramble. We need you to sign up a team of golfers or become a sponsor right away. Your participation is very important as this is the biggest fundraiser for AMFA and we have a goal to raise $15,000 to benefit youth manufacturing programs in the region! Sign up or sponsor a hole now.
 
AMFA hosted our first Northeast Minnesota CTE Teacher Summit on April 24 in Duluth and it was a HUGE success! 45 high school and college teachers from the Arrowhead region were in attendance. The event featured an experienced lineup of speakers active in CTE in Minnesota. Manufacturers and CTE teachers gained insight on best practices and met fellow professionals in their field. WDIO even gave us great coverage of the event. Watch it here.
 
We also had a great time at the AMFA Beverage Tasting held later in the day on April 24. The turnout was not what we needed it to be, but the venue, music, beverages, and networking were fabulous.

Once again Minnesota will celebrate Manufacturing Month in October. Offering tours of your facility can help change the public’s perception of manufacturing as dark, dingy, and dangerous. Register to host a tour here and find resources to help you prepare for and manage a tour here.
 
AMFA is looking for emerging leaders in the Arrowhead and Duluth/Superior area to advance the future of manufacturing in our region. Emerging leaders are current employees who are the next movers and shakers! Contact Rachel to nominate yourself or someone else.
 
We are looking for speakers, manufacturer tours, and sponsors for upcoming meetings. Please contact Jenny with your ideas and information.
